Schools lined up to visit Fouch

A key member of the New York Gauchos travel team, three-star prospect Chris Fouch made a name for himself this summer as one of the top clutch shooters on the circuit. The 6-foot-2, 175-pound shooting guard from New York Rice High School hasn't set up an official visit yet, but five schools have scheduled in-home visits.
Fairfield, Butler, Drexel, Houston and George Mason will all visit the sharp shooter this fall. With offers from all five schools, Fouch also claims offers from George Washington and Akron. However, a Big East school down south, who hasn't yet offered, is one of Fouch's favorites.

"I'll probably take my first official visit to South Florida," said Fouch. "They and Houston are my top two schools. I have some family in Georgia, and the campus down there is nice. I also have a friend at Houston, and I know they have a good business program there."
After making a number of big shots during the Gauchos' strong summer run, Fouch is not surprised at his success.
"I've always felt like I was that kind of player," he said. "Fortunately, this summer I had a chance to prove it."
Playing alongside top point guard Kemba Walker, Fouch has always done his damage from the shooting guard position, but South Florida is recruiting him to play another position.
"South Florida is recruiting me as a point guard," he said. "So I have a lot of work to do once I get back from my ankle injury in a couple weeks."
