Schilb Still Open In His Recruiting Process

Blake Schilb isn't the fastest or most athletic player out there, but he is a skilled forward who can hurt defenses in many ways.
Despite his Brewster team dropping a pair of games at last weekend's War on the Shore Tournament in Milford, Del., Schilb acquitted himself quite well. He averaged 10.5 points, 12 rebounds and 3.5 assists in the Bobcats' two games.

While Schilb will need to improve his defense and work on his left hand, he showed that he really sees the floor well for a big man. He also hits the offensive glass with reckless abandon.
A native of Rantoul, Ill., Schilb shined this past spring and summer with the Ft. SOOY program. He is at Brewster working on his core GPA requirements this year, as he has already scored a 19 on the ACT.
Schilb took a pair of visits this fall to Loyola (Ill.) and Rhode Island. Penn State, Texas El Paso and Xavier are among a handful of other programs that have looked at Blake this fall.
Assuming he continues to have a productive season for Jason Smith's Bobcat program, Schilb will likely continue to be evaluated by many more Division I programs in the coming weeks and months.
You can count on Rivalshoops.com to keep you posted on Schilb and many of the other key happenings in the prep school ranks this winter, so stay tuned.
