Schilb Has More Interest

Blake Schilb, a 6-7, 195-pound forward from Brewster Academy in New Hampshire, has seen his recruiting process pick up a little bit over the past month. The last time RivalsHoops.com watched Schilb play was at the War on the Shore event held in Delaware. What Schilb showed was some perimeter skills that can hurt a defense. He isn't a great athlete but he has the ability to damage you along the perimeter.
Penn State watched Schilb play over the weekend at the Brewster Academy tournament. But another school is also showing some initial interest -- Virginia. "I don't know how serious they are right now," said Brewster head coach Jason Smith. "But they have requested some film on him. So we will send it. It remains to be seen whether they get involved more."

Despite his Brewster team dropping a pair of games at the War on the Shore Tournament in Milford, Del., Schilb averaged 10.5 points, 12 rebounds and 3.5 assists in the Bobcats' two games.
Schilb is also a good passer for a big man. He can spot an open teammate with a pass and he also works the offensive glass hard for rebounds. A native of Rantoul, Ill., Schilb shined this past spring and summer with the Ft. SOOY program. He is at Brewster working on his core GPA requirements this year, as he has already scored a 19 on the ACT.
Schilb took a pair of visits this fall to Loyola (Ill.) and Rhode Island.
