Schaen Will Take 2 Trips

Harrison Schaen, a 6-8, 207 pound power/combination forward from Mater Dei H.S. in Santa Ana, Calif., will take a pair of official visits to Ivy League schools later this month.
Lionel Schaen, Harrison's father, told Rivalshoops.com that his son will visit Penn and Princeton the weekend of Sept. 21 after participating in Rick Barrett's Midnight Madness All-Star game.

Last spring, Schaen took a trio of official visits to Arizona, Stanford and Southern California. If he were to use his last two official trips for Penn and Princeton in a few weeks, he would be out of official visits.
The NCAA allows a prospective student-athlete to take up to five official visits.
"He wants to be sure he makes the right decision," Mr. Schaen said. "The school is very important to him, and the coach is very important to him, too."
Mr. Schaen said that a number of schools are still actively recruiting his son in addition to Penn and Princeton. Among that lot are Arizona, USC, Stanford, Yale, Holy Cross and UC-SB, just to mention a few.
A terrific student who boasts a 3.3 GPA and 1220 SAT score, Schaen is still developing on the basketball court. He has a pretty high skill level, but just needs to work on getting stronger and tougher for the rigors of the Division I ranks.
Schaen could conceivable make a decision during the early signing period, so we will keep you posted on his situation after he makes his trips later this month. Stay tuned.
