Sani Ibrahims Options

Sani Ibrahim, a 6-11 center from the Oak Hill Academy in Mouth of Wilson, Virginia, is slowly playing himself into better shape, according to his coach, Steve Smith.
"Sani has a lot of skills," Smith said. "I know people have said he didn't have a good summer. But so far he is showing me he is a very talented player."

Ibrahim will have to have a big year for Oak Hill Academy to be drafted in the first round of next year's June NBA draft. "This is his intention right now," Smith said. "But things can change. And some schools have taken in school visits with him just in case."
Alabama and West Virginia have made trips into the state of Virginia to speak to Ibrahim. "He is not shutting the door to anything," Smith said. "He is just trying to work hard on and off the court."
If Ibrahim is to play colllege ball, he has plenty of classroom work to catch up with. "He is working hard there too," Smith said. "I think he wants to give himself some options."
Before the summer, many were predicting that Ibrahim would be selected in the first round of the NBA draft. "He is big and strong," Smith said. "He does a lot of nice things inside."
Ibrahim had developed nicely in his junior year under head coach Mike Byrnes. Byrnes pushed Ibraham hard on both offense and defense as he does with all of his players. Sani tries to dunk everything but does possess a nice touch on his jumper.
