Sani Ibrahims Choices May Be Limited

Sani Ibrahim, a 6-11 center from the Winchendon School in Massachusetts, is expected to be at Oak Hill Academy next year. Beyond his senior season at Oak Hill Academy, Ibrahim's choices may be limited.
The reason? Ibrahim is going to have to work extremely hard in the classroom to qualify academically. It's becoming more and more apparent that Ibrahim had better try and prepare himself for either another year of prep school, a JUCO, or applying to next June's NBA draft.

The work that Ibrahim will need to accomplish in the classroom is monumental. Can he achieve success and be eligible for the college level? Only Sani knows for sure.
Before the summer, many were predicting that Ibrahim would be selected in the first round of the NBA draft. His reputation was bigger sometimes than his game this summer. It will be interesting to see how Ibrahim performs this season at Oak Hill Academy.
Ibrahim had developed nicely in his junior year under head coach Mike Byrnes. Byrnes pushed Ibraham hard on both offense and defense as he does with all of his players. Sani tries to dunk everything but does possess a nice touch on his jumper.
A previous list included Syracuse, Virginia, Connecticut, Boston College, Providence, St. John's, Seton Hall, Georgia Tech, Indiana, the Atlantic Ten schools, Kentucky, etc. But most schools mentioned here are concentrating on targets they feel will be on their roster next season.
Most coaches feel Ibrahim will bypass college ball and place his name into the NBA 2002 June draft. Ibrahim may have no other choice, according to our sources. We will keep you posted on this.
