Sani Ibrahim Update

Sources close to Sani Ibrahim, a 6-11 center from the Oak Hill Academy in Mouth of Wilson, Virginia, tell us that the big man is leaning toward putting his name into the NBA draft.
Ibrahim has made significant progress in the classroom and played very well over the past month. But a big blow was delivered when he didn't make the McDonald's All American game -- a perfect showcase for displaying one's talent in front of every NBA scout.

The night that Ibrahim scored 30 and grabbed 16 rebounds, the Los Angeles Lakers were on hand to watch him play. So this was a good break for Ibrahim that he had perhaps his best game of the year in front of NBA scouts. Some sources indicate that Ibrahim could end up being a late first round pick depending upon how well he performs in the workouts. Ibrahim usually impresses in this type of atmosphere since he can shoot the ball well for a big man.
West Virginia, Illinois, Georgia, and Indiana are some of the schools Ibrahim has indicated interest in if he were able to attend college.
But sources tell us that Ibrahim will likely have to prep or go juco. Ibrahim would be an NBA pick for sure if he went to college for a year or two. But there appears to be some interest in Ibrahim since he has a nice touch on his shot and he has significant size.
