Sanders will play in the Big East

The Cincinnati Bearcats play in the Big East and more recently their recruiting has been taking on an old school Big East flavor. A few weeks after landing a commitment out of New Jersey wing Shaquille Thomas, the Bearcats were back in the area locking up New Yorker Jermaine Sanders on Monday.
A physical 6-foot-5 wing from Manhattan (N.Y.) Rice, Sanders fits the mold of a throwback Big East player. He grinds his way to the rim, is tough on the glass and finds ways to knock in just enough jumpers to keep defenders honest.
Ranked #134 nationally in the class of 2011, Sanders gives the Bearcats their fourth three-star commitment of the class. Joining Sanders and Thomas are Memphian Octavious Ellis and Kentucky native Ge'Lawn Guyn. The Bearcats recently went their separate ways from wing Khristian Smith and still have two scholarships remaining.
