Nate Salley, a star in two sports, dropped in 20 points to lead St. Thomas Acquinas to a 60-54 win over Pompano Ely in a battle of two Florida high schools.
St. Thomas Aquinas is now 20-3 while Pompano Ely falls to 17-7.
Salley, who recently made a verbal commitment to play football for Ohio State, could actually walk the Buckeyes basketball program. He is good enough to play division one basketball.
Matt Cenatus also had a big game for Steve Strand's squad. He scored 19 points. In addition, Rashard Sullivan helped out the winners with 12 points, 11 rebounds, five blocks.
Sullivan, a developing big man, will play for Arkansas next season. Teammate Jerome Scott also pitched in 15 points for St. Thomas Acquinas.
