Atuahene averaged 34.5 points, 11.5 assists and 10.0 rebounds last season as he led Henry Carr to a 44-4 record and an appearance in The Ontario Federation of School Athletic Associations AAAA (largest school) finals.
Over his career, Atuahene scored more than 6,000 points and dished out more than 1,800 assists. He averaged 36.5 points as a junior.
Grass Roots Canada coach Ro Russell needs to let folks know what our neighbors up north are feeding their kids. Last season, it was current UConn freshman Denham Brown who was breaking scoring records, including a 111 point game in his senior season.
Coach Gary Waters has another prep senior on his campus again this weekend as the Knights look to fill the remaining two roster slots available for this class. According to Tom Lucci of the Newark Star-Ledger, Oak Hill Academey's big forward Byron Jones is visiting the Big East school's campus.
Thanks to TL for the tips.
