Russell Robinson Makes It Official

Russell Robinson has officially become a member of Bill Self’s first recruiting class of the University of Kansas. The 6-foot-1, 180-pound shooting guard from Rice High School in New York, NY., faxed his Letter of Intent to the Kansas coaching office on Wednesday morning.
“Yes, Russell has signed his Letter of Intent and, as a family, we’re excited to be apart of the Kansas Jayhawk community,” Mr. Robinson said. “This has been a long time coming for Russell and I think a lot of great things are going to happen during his time at Kansas.

“They’ve got a great program and they just keep winning and winning,” he added. “I keep telling all these kids in New York that if you work hard and stay focused, you can attend a school like Kansas.”
Mr. Robinson indicated that Robinson would have a ceremony later this weekend and would meet with family, friends and media during that time.
Rivals.com ranks Robinson No. 31 on the Rivals150 list and the 8th best shooting guard in the class of 2004.
