Russell comes up with his list

On Monday, Texas point guard Nick Russell sat down and scribbled down a list of schools he wants to consider. The Rivals150 prospect will look coast to coast and everywhere in between before he makes his college decision.
The 6-foot-4 point guard from Grace Prep in Arlington, Texas narrowed his list down to a dozen schools at the start of the week.

Russell says his list consists of Kansas State, Arkansas, Texas Tech, Florida State, UCLA, Iowa, Cincinnati, Colorado State, SMU, TCU, Oklahoma and Duke.
"I would say that will pretty much be the list that I want to look at. I'm sure I'll do some cancellations with some of the schools but other than that, this should be it," Russell said.
"I want to find a place where I can come in as a freshman and get good quality minutes and somewhere that fits my playing style. I'd like to go somewhere that I feel comfortable and where I can trust the coaching staff and the coaches can trust me."
Russell will visit Iowa on Sept. 13 officially. He said he is trying to set up visits with UCLA and Duke as well. He also said he has yet to establish any in-home visits yet but is in talks with a number of schools
The Rivals150 guard is also not ruling out a late decision.
"I'll decide on whenever I feel like it is the right time for me to decide. Most likely, [my decision] will be in the spring," Russell said. "Well, maybe. We'll see what happens."
