Rumor Untrue With Sylla
Despite rumors that have circulated indicating that Our Savior New American(Centereach, NY) small forward Oumar Sylla has left the country and surfaced in a pro league in France, Sylla is still on Long Island and there is no credence to the information.
Rivalshoops.com has been able to confirm with a source close to Sylla that the versatile 6'6'' 185 pounder is still enrolled at Our Savior New American, and that the rumors aren't even remotely true.

Sylla took an official visit to Valparaiso last weekend. He is still weighing his options as far as his college choice. Previously South Florida and others had inquired about Oumar, a native of Mali.
Oumar is on target with his core requirements, but still needs a qualifying SAT score. He could be a prep candidate if he can't reach the qualifying standard.
Sylla competed this summer with The Long Island-based Minuteman Press. He is now a member of the New York Elite program, also based on Long Island.
