Rulands Future Player Leads CK TO Win

Helped along by Iona commit Justin Marshall's 14 points and Japhet McNeil's 11, Christ the King recorded a decisive 65-42 win over St. Francis Prep in the semifinals of the CHSAA playoffs at Holy Cross High School in Flushing, New York, Friday night.
Christ the King's athleticism, size, and depth proved too much for a well-coached St. Francis team. The Royals would crack the game open in the third quarter, as McNeil and talented sophomore guard Chris Martin would connect on back-to-back pull-ups, pushing CK's lead to 14 with 3:31 to play. McNeil would later zip a pass to senior forward Brian Williams underneath for the deuce, pumping his team's lead to 20, 47-27, and St. Francis never recovered.
Junior Bryan Geffen led St. Francis with 14 points. The 5'9'' 160 pound combo guard is one of the leading scorers in the CHSAA, a crafty combo who has gotten some Division I looks early.
