Root still undecided
Jordan Root is hoping to make a decision about his future in the coming weeks. The 6-foot-3, 190-pound combo guard from Bloomington (IN) High School has several options to consider, but does not know what he is going to do just yet. There is a chance that Root will take a couple of visits in the immediate future.
"I am still trying to decide if I am going to play basketball or golf in college," said Root. "Chicago State and Navy are the two schools that really like me a lot. Loyola Chicago, Army and a few other schools are still looking at me, but I just need to decide what sport to play.

"I need to decide if I am going to start taking some visits or not," he added. "If I do take some visits, Chicago State is a school that I will definitely check out before I decide. That is the only school that I will definitely visit, if I do take some visits."
For Root, his senior campaign did not end as he had originally expected. He suffered an injury towards the end of the year, and because of that, was never the same. He still has not completely recovered from the injury.
"I tore my meniscus and was hurt for part of the year," said Root. "I decided to play with a torn meniscus because I wanted to finish out the season. Things didn't go as planned this year, but I still enjoyed playing with my teammates."
