Rondo Considering Two, but Wide Open

Rajon Rondo, Oak Hill Academy’s floor general, is playing at a very high level this season and is considering two offers while remaining open to any other offers.
“Illinois and Georgia are the two schools that have offered me,” said the 6-foot-1, 155-pound point guard. “But I am still wide open right now.”

Rondo, the No. 14 point guard and No. 73 player in the Rivals150, has already qualified and knows what he is looking for in his future school.
“I am looking for a school with good coaching and how long the coach will be there,” he said. “I also looking for a style of play that is up tempo.”
When asked if there were any schools out there that he wished would offer him, Rondo had a quick reply.
“Not really, I am happy with my options.”
Rondo has a great knack at getting into the lane. Once he has penetrated the defense, he can find his teammates, finish at the rim, and pull up for the short jumper. It is his shooting from behind the arc that is suspect.
Rondo had this reply when asked if his outside shot was a liability.
“Yes and no, It just depends on the night,” he said. “If they can’t stop me from getting to the basket, why should I shoot from outside. I feel I can knock down shots when I need to.”
One huge fan of Rondo’s ability is Oak Hill head coach Steve Smith, who said after their Marshall Co. Hoopfest game that Rondo certainly was underrated on the national scene.
