Rodgers Checking Options

Chris Rodgers, a 6-4, 190 pound point/combo guard from Wilson H.S. in Portland, Ore., did not qualify academically and may be headed to prep school this fall.
Rodgers has the option of sitting out at Arizona this fall as a partial qualifier, but Rivalshoops.com has learned through reliable sources that he is very interested in enrolling in prep school this fall.

In fact, Rodgers and/or his people have been in contact with both Hargrave Military Academy in Virginia and Maine Central Institute in Maine.
Rodgers apparently has a 3.23 GPA but fell roughly 40 points shy of qualifying on his SAT score.
Rivalshoops spoke with Damon Burns, the person whom Rodgers lives with in Portland. He did not confirm nor deny what has been reported above.
"He is in the process of checking out his options," Burns said on Tuesday afternoon. "Hopefully, we will have a decision by early next week."
As a partial qualifier, Rodgers would be able to practice with the team at Arizona, but would not be able to play during the 2002-2003 season.
When we get official word on Rodgers' plans, we will pass it along to you, so stay tuned.
