Roderick Wilmont Makes A Decision

Roderick Wilmont, a 6-4, 185-pound shooting guard from Miramar High School in Florida, gave a verbal commitment to Indiana today, according to Inside Indiana/peegs.com.
Wilmont was on an official visit to Indiana. It comes as no surprise that he has given head coach Mike Davis since Wilmont told us before his trip he was likely to give a commitment if he enjoyed his visit. He did enjoy his visit.

Wilmont is having a super senior season. He averages close to 30 points a game. Boston College, Clemson, Citadel, Florida State, and Kansas State were also considered. When rivalshoops.com spoke to Wilmont recently, he indicated he was leaning heavily to the Hoosiers.
Wilmont, who averages also seven rebounds a game, said he is likely to play the three slot at Indiana. The Hoosiers wanted some more firepower in case Jared Jeffries leaves the program. Our sources close to Jeffries tell us he is leaning to putting his name into the June 2003 draft. But he has not come to a final decision.
