Robinson Looks At 4 For Fifth Visit

Rice High School combo guard Russell Robinson, 6-foot-1, 180-pounds from New York City, blasted into many top 30 lists after his great summer. Robinson, who plays hard on both ends of the court each minute of every game, has attracted many high majors because of his talent and effort.
Robinson had a great Five Star camp this past week in Honesdale, Penn. He averaged almost 15 points a game in four pool games. Robinson is a winner too. He helped the New York Gauchos win several big tournaments, including the Peach Jam and the Super Showcase this past summer.

"I want to play for a team that has a chance to win it all," Robinson said. "I also want to go to a program that will give me the best chance of being the best player I can be on the court and off the court."
Robinson has scheduled foiur visits -- Connecticut on September 12th-14th, Georgia Tech on September 19th-21st, Kansas on September 26th-28th, and Kentucky on October 17th-19th. "I am going to take a fifth visit too," he said. "I want to take five visits before I decide."
Russell stated he will choose between St. John's, Pittsburgh, Ohio State and Florida State for his fifth visit. "I don't know where I will take it," he said. "But I do know I want to take a fifth."
Robinson doesn't appear to be interested in taking unofficial visits either. "You don't really get a good feel for a school on those," he said. "I would prefer just taking official visits."
The Buckeyes were the latest school to make a serious run at Robinson, who is listed as the 30th best player in the Rivals150.
Russell has previously indicated that the facilities at the programs will possibly help him make up his mind. Robinson heads back to school next week after Labor Day. Then his visits will start.
