Robinson Discusses His Visits

Rice High School combo guard Russell Robinson, 6-foot-1, 180-pounds from New York City, had a tremendous summer. Due to his great month of July and also leading his New York Gauchos team to another tournament win in August, many schools have set up official visits with him.
Robinson checked in with RivalsHoops.com on Thursday afternoon and told us the latest on his recruiting process. "I am going to visit UConn on September 12th-14th, Georgia Tech on September 19th-21st," Robinson said. "I am also going to visit Kansas on September 26th-28th, and Kentucky on October 17th-19th."

Robinson, if he took all four visits, would still have one more trip to take if he wished. And there are three schools trying to battle it out for the final visit. However, the visit will take place before Robinson visits Kentucky for Midnight Madness weekend.
"I will take my fifth visit on the weekend of October 10th-12th to either St. John's, Florida State, or Pittsburgh."
Robinson was unsure when he would make the decision on taking that visit. Last night, Robinson's dad, Russell, Sr., stated that his son might take an unofficial visit to St. John's. So it's likely that no matter what the situation is, St. John's should land some type of visit from Robinson before he makes up his mind.
Robinson heads back to school after Labor Day. He helped lead the New York Gauchos to wins in the Peach Jam tournament and the Super Showcase. In the Peach Jam event, it was Robinson's last second jumper that sealed the big title win.
