Roberson says hes down to three schools

WASHINGTON, DC -- Anthony Roberson (right), a top recruit in the class of 2002-03, told the Insiders Report Saturday night that he has reduced his list of potential schools to three: Michigan, Florida and Duke.
He said, "I'll announce my choice in July."

Roberson, a 6-2 guard from Saginaw (MI) High School, had just led his Michigan Hurricanes to the finals of the DC Pro-AM at George Washington University's Smith Center. He scored 34 points, including four three-point field goals, as the Hurricanes downed the hometown DC Assault for a tournament championship matchup with the Tim Thomas Playaz tomorrow at 5:00 PM.
Roberson has been among the most desired point guards for some time. His performance at last year's DC Pro-AM escalated his reputation even more. This past season at Saginaw he averaged 26 points per game.
Roberson said there were a lot of positives about each of his top three schools. Here are some of his points:
Michigan: "They have a brand new coach (Tommy Amaker) and I could play right away."
Florida: "The team plays my style. I can see that I would get along with coach (Billy Donovan) and have a lot of fun playing there."
Duke: "Again, they play my style of game. And what more can you say about Coach K (Mike Kyzyzkewski) - he's great."His previous list included the above three schools and Georgia Tech, Michigan State, and Cincinnati.
Roberson will return to the ABCD camp in New Jersey in a couple weeks and will also participate in the Big Time Tournament in Las Vegas later in July with the Hurricanes.
This talented player has clearly expanded his game. He appeared to be more of a shooter last season, and an outstanding one at that. Now he's developed the traditional point guard skills. "I want to continue to pull my overall game together this summer and keep on winning," he added.
Roberson said he's waiting for the results from his first aptitude test. "I'm not sure what I'll choose as a major; maybe business management, sociology or communications."
