Thursday night, Shaka Smart became the new coach at Texas. Friday morning, it was confirmed that a big piece of the Longhorns 2015 recruiting class is still in the fold.
Kerwin Roach, Sr., the father of signee Kerwin Roach confirmed to Rivals.com that his son is fully committed to Texas.

"Yes definitely," Roach Sr. told Rivals.com when asked if his son was going to stay with his commitment despite a coaching change. "We've always stayed committed to Texas."
A 6-foot-4 combo guard from Houston (Texas) North Shore, Roach is a huge part of the 'Horns current two man recruiting class that includes fellow four-star combo guard Eric Davis.
Looking ahead, Smart's HAVOC style of basketball should be a good fit for Roach. Roach is an extreme athlete who can really pressure opponents defensively and he is at his best in the open floor and attacking the rim. Not having to worry about talking Roach back into playing his college ball in Austin should be a huge relief for the new Texas staff.
The current status of Davis and his commitment is unknown. Rivals.com reached out to Davis to check his status, but he has not yet responded.
