Rivers reacts to Beal

Austin Rivers, a Class of 2011 elite guard who is off to a scintillating start for Winter Park (Fla.) High School, provided his take on fellow 2011 elite guard Bradley Beal's recent commitment to Florida.
"I'm happy Brad committed to Florida," Rivers told Rivals.com. "I love to play with players like that. He is one of the top players in the country."

The 6-foot-3, 175-pound Rivers is committed to Florida, but it has to be considered a soft commitment due to his interest in Duke. Rivers, however, did admit that Beal's commitment has enhanced Florida's standing with him.
"I'm still committed to Florida, but I'm interested in Duke," he said. "I like Duke a lot. It helps Florida, though, for a player as good as Brad to commit."
Although it is only Florida and Duke presently involved in Rivers' recruitment, the door hasn't been shut on other pursuers.
"My list could grow over the summer, but right now it is just Florida and Duke," Rivers said.
Three games into his junior season, Rivers is averaging 36 points, five rebounds and five assists per game.
Rivers is the No. 8-ranked prospect in the Rivals150, while Beal is No. 7.
