Rivals150 junior on the rise

Through the early part of the season, one junior who has taken his game to a new level is Rivals150 power forward Nolan Narain.

A native of Canada, the 6-foot-8 power forward made a move down to the States to attend La Porte (Ind.) La Lumiere. Already ranked No. 145 in the class of 2016, Narain has been playing exceptionally well in the early season and looks like a guy who has the potential to make a nice move up the rankings because of his skill and ability to run the floor.
Narain isn't worried about where he ranks, but he feels the move to La Lumiere has been quite beneficial.
"The biggest benefit is toughness," Narain told Rivals.com. "I'm learning to bring it every day and playing against great players every day and not being able to relax and dominate like I was able to do back home in Canada."
Because he can stretch the floor with his shooting and has a body to build on, college coaches have been quite interested in Narain who built a buzz over the summer with UPLAY. He already has offers from Gonzaga, New Mexico, Illinois, Miami, Vanderbilt, Kansas State, Notre Dame, Oregon, San Diego State, Missouri and many mid majors.
"I'm not necessarily sure when I want to start narrowing things down," said Narain of his list. "It will probably be near AAU season.
"I'm looking for a coach that I can be comfortable with and teammates that are a good group of guys. Also a system that is conducive to my playing style."
So, exactly what type of playing style will be conducive when Narain does make a decision?
"I think a place that has an inside out game and moves the ball well," said Narain. "Also a place where they make it a point to use the big men well."
