Rival Views: Which 2018 prospect will soar up the rankings?

Last year, Collin Sexton came from off the radar to explode into the national top 10. It's probably not fair to expect anybody from the class of 2018 to match the Alabama-bound point guard's feat.

However, in this week's Rival Views, the Rivals.com analyst team of Eric Bossi, Corey Evans and Krysten Peek take a look at players currently ranked in the top 50 and beyond who could make big climbs in the rankings – perhaps even to five-star status – by summer's end.

ERIC BOSSI'S VIEW: LANDERS NOLLEY

As I look up and down the 2018 rankings, the guy who stands out to me as having a lot of upward mobility is Landers Nolley.

Currently ranked No. 62 overall, there is an awful lot to like about Nolley, who like Sexton, hails from Georgia. Like Sexton, Nolley isn't a total unknown but is relatively new to the scene after making his first move in the rankings thanks to a big junior season. Also like Sexton, Nolley is a big-time athlete and a guy who scores points from deep in a hurry.

A small forward with tremendous size, deep range on his jumper and huge upside, Nolley is my pick to play his way into a big rankings jump. So far, he has offers from Auburn, Florida, Saint Louis, USC, Georgia, Georgia Tech, Northwestern and others, and should rack up many more by the end of the summer.

COREY EVANS' VIEW: DAVID DUKE

It is going to be difficult to find someone who might enjoy the same upward trajectory as Collin Sexton had last spring and summer. However, if anyone can replicate it, David Duke would have to be the guy.

A well-built 6-foot-3 guard, Duke used the reclassification option as best as possible. While he held just a few local offers at the turn of the calendar year, Syracuse, UConn and Kansas have now jumped into the picture.

Super explosive and blessed with an unbelievable feel, frame and upside, Duke hit the ground running this past weekend with the Mass Rivals program. Despite struggling to find his shot, much like Sexton, Duke was excellent at getting to the foul line; he also notched a two-to-one, assistant-to-turnover ratio.

Also like Sexton, Duke is getting better by the day, creating his case to be a potential top-10 recruit at the end of the summer.

KRYSTEN PEEK'S VIEW: DAVID MCCORMACK

There isn't a long list of talented bigs in the 2018 class, but David McCormack could be a breakout player this spring and summer and compete with five-stars Nazreon Reid and Silvio De Sousa.

The 6-foot-10 center out of Virginia played with Oak Hill Academy during his high school season and transformed his game. Even with the team loaded with Billy Preston, Lindell Wigginton and Matt Coleman, he found ways to contribute, averaging 10.6 PPG and 8.5 RPG. I watched him completely dominate 2019 five-star Onyeka Okongwu of Chino Hills as Oak Hill ended Chino Hills' two-year win streak earlier this year.

After scoring 20 points in his second game playing on the adidas circuit, it looks as if his stock could keep rising into the summer season. McCormack's latest offers were from Duke, Virginia, Oklahoma State and LSU after a strong weekend for Team Loaded. He already held offers from top programs such as Kansas, North Carolina, Maryland and Louisville.

Expect a handful of other schools to get involved as the spring progresses. McCormack has said in the past that he isn't in a rush to narrow things down and is open to all schools that want to recruit him.
