Rising Sophomore Impresses -- Again

The first time I saw rising sophomore Marcus Ginyard play, I double-checked the roster that showed him (then) as a freshman.
This weekend, Ginyard showed he is just as mature off the court at the NBA Players Association High School Camp at VCU's arena. I left amazed that someone as young as he could be that impressive.

The 6-4, 180 combo/shooting guard from Bishop O'Connell High School in Arlington, VA, said that while he's still got a lot of high school basketball ahead of him, he's interested in the ACC schools, particularly Maryland and North Carolina.
"This camp was a great experience," he said. "I really enjoyed it and learned a lot about how to handle myself and what I need to do to keep a good image."
"We worked on my jump shot including learning to look at the rim when shooting," Ginyard added.
He plays with the DC Blue Devils and in DC's Kenner and St. Albans leagues. He'll be at next month's Nike All-American Camp in Indianapolis and either the Peace Jam or the DC Board Games.
We should be hearing a lot about Marcus Ginyard over the next three years.
