ST. LOUIS, Mo. – It isn't uncommon for kids to grow up dreaming of getting an offer from the home school. That dream came true for rising junior shooting guard Isiaih Mosley.

A little over a week ago, the wing from Columbia (Mo.) Rock Bridge scored an offer from Cuonzo Martin and the hometown Missouri Tigers. The offer felt great, but Mosley doesn't want to get a big head about it either.

"I was really excited to get the offer from my hometown school because everybody dreams about getting the offer from your hometown school. It feels like you are putting in the work when that happens but you can't get too satisfied.

"You could have 25 Division I offers and you can't get satisfied. They can get taken away so fast it will make your head spin. It makes we want to grind harder."

Not only has Missouri offered Mosley, he's spent a lot of time around the Tigers program. He's still getting to know Cuonzo Martin, but there's an established relationship with assistant coach Michael Porter Sr. and his family, particularly 2017's No. 1 player Michael Porter Jr.

"I've been playing in the gym with Michael Porter," Mosley said. "So, I've seen (Missouri coaches) when I've been over there to be in the gym a couple of times and I have spoken to them a little bit.

"Me and Michael have been really good friends for a while. Like the Porter family, we've been friends ever since I met them."

With interest from Kansas State, Nebraska, Wichita State, Purdue and others, Mosley's other offer has come from Tulsa. As it turns out, Mosley has a strong personal connection with Tulsa as well.

"(Assistant coach) Kim English used to come down and do a Rock Bridge camp so I'm real close to him," said Mosley. "I've really gotten to know him and me and him are pretty good friends and we talk a lot."

Though he has his hometown offer, Mosley feels comfortable about the direction of his game and he isn't going to settle or rush anything.

"I'm really starting to stroke it so I'm thinking two guard," Mosley said. "I mean I can play shooting guard or small forward, I've even played some point guard (at Elite 100). When I was growing up I was taught post moves that will last me for life, so I feel like I can match up anywhere."
