Riley has a favorite

6-foot-5, 175-pound shooting guard Freddie Riley burst onto the national recruiting scene with a standout performance this fall at the NIKE Team Florida Exposure Camp. Three schools have already offered Riley, who plays at Ocala (Fla.) Vanguard High School, and one of them stands out as his favorite.
"My top four are Baylor, Miami, Florida Atlantic and Arizona," said Riley, who hopes to commit in January. "Baylor, Miami and Florida Atlantic have offered and Baylor's my favorite.

"I want to visit Baylor soon. I like their style of play, and I also like that it's far from home. I don't want to go to school too close to home."
Marshall, Kansas State and Wisconsin have also been to Ocala, Fla., this fall and are recruiting Riley according to Vanguard head coach James Haley. More schools are likely to jump into the mix if Riley continues to make academic progress.
"Freddie plans on retaking the ACT in December," said Haley. "He also needs some work on his GPA, but there is a chance he will qualify. He's really working hard in the classroom."
Riley began is season in fine fashion last week when he hit a game tying three-pointer at the end of regulation to force overtime against national power Arlington Country Day. Vanguard went on to win the game with Riley leading them in scoring with 30 points.
Freddie Riley scouting report:
Adept at scoring in a variety of ways, Riley has a special knack at knocking down long jumpers coming off screens. His shot fake then sets up a quality two dribble game. His length serves him well defensively and on the boards although he does need to put some weight on his thin frame.
