Rhode Island adds Tashawn Mabry
Certainly, the news of Terrence Jones commitment to Kentucky was Wednesday night's major news. But, the fact that Jim Barron and Rhode Island picked up a good one when Tashawn Mabry selected the Rams shouldn't go by without some mention.
An athletic 6-foot-5 forward, Mabry said that a recent visit to the Kingston, R.I. campus solidified what he thought of the program and allowed him to pull the trigger.

"I feel like I fit in a lot with their style of play," Mabry told rivals.com. "Their coach has been with me since day one and they have been straight up with me all along."
"I had a good feeling about them, but the visit had a lot to do with it."
After a senior year clouded by off the court uncertainty, Mabry is glad to be moving on with his life. He had a chance to stay close to home but ultimately felt getting a fresh start was more important as he picked Rhode Island over interest from Charlotte, North Carolina State and Clemson.
"I think it's a good thing for me," said Mabry. "It will be a learning thing for me to have to adjust to a new place. It's a relief that it's all over."
