Reynolds Continues To Impress

Oak Hill Academy head coach Steve Smith continues to be impressed with Virginia recruit J.R. Reynolds, a 6-6 swingman who inked a letter of intent with the Cavs last Fall. "He will fit nicely into Pete Gillen's system," Smith said. "He moves around with quickness and can find the open spots on the floor to free up his shots."
Smith said he also has been consistently impressed with Reynolds' jumper. "He is averaging almost 16 points a game," Smith said. "He works hard to create his shot and creates space for his jumper."

Reynolds, the combo guard who played last year at Roanoke (VA) Catholic High School, has impressed Smith also with his mental skills. "I like the fact that he has been playing hard also on the defensive end," Smith said. "Every player can improve defensively and J.R. has been doing that here."
Reynolds also has the skills to play several positions. Last year, Reynolds handled the point guard slot with confidence. "He can do several things out there," Smith said. "He can bring the ball up and also distribute when he has to."
