Mike Henderson, the 6-3, 190 pound point guard from Waterloo East (IA) High School has rescinded the verbal commitment he gave to Iowa State in the fall of 2001. The report was published yesterday by the Iowa State student newspaper, The Iowa State Daily.
Henderson told RivalsHoops.com reporter Russ Blake in May that he picked Iowa State after considering schools such as Kansas, Nebraska, Syracuse, Arizona and Tennessee.
The lead guard, who reportedly received his first offer from the University of Northern Iowa in the eighth grade, has seen his "stock" increasing following a junior season where he averaged 14.6 points per game and led his team to the state finals.
Henderson is at the Super Showcase with the Martin Bros. program which RivalsHoops.com publisher Mike Sullivan is covering.
