Reinhardt to run with the Rebels

Under new head coach Dave Rice, UNLV is pursuing some of the top talent in the country. On Thursday the Runnin' Rebels scored a top 50 recruit in Katin Reinhardt.
Although Reinhardt, a 6-foot-4 shooting guard from Santa Ana (Calif.) Mater Dei High School, battled injuries during the summer, he still picked up offers from numerous schools.

According to one of Reinhardt's travel team coaches Dinos Triginos of Belmont Shores, Texas, Syracuse, Baylor, West Virginia, St. John's, UTEP, Gonzaga and Washington State had also offered Reinhardt.
Once committed to local school USC, Reinhardt won't play his college ball too far from the Los Angeles area and he has relatives already living in Las Vegas. In addition, the style of play Dave Rice employs looks to be a great fit for Reinhardt.
"Dave Rice showed with Jimmer Fredette that his offensive system can be free and flowing," said Triginos. "That is the type of style that fits Katin well."
A strong and bouncy athlete with a versatile skill game, Reinhardt is the No. 43 ranked prospect in the Rivals150.
