Reid Listing Five Schools

Ryan Reid was one of the many players that made a name for themselves during the month of April. The 6-foot-8 combo forward from Boyd Anderson High School in Lauderdale Lakes, Fla., emerged as one of the top prospects in the country and now he’s seeing schools enter the picture for his services at the next level.
“I think I did good but of course I think I could have done better,” Reid said. “My tournament was probably the Charlie Weber in D.C. I did a little bit of everything there and I think I impressed some coaches.”

Coaches from a number of schools have inquired about the big man but Florida, Kansas State, Pitt, NC State and South Florida came away as Reid’s top schools. He said Pitt and NC State made a strong surge over the last three weeks. He also said he might take an unofficial visit to the Wolfpack during the Tournament of Champions.
Reid is an intriguing player because he can play both forward spots. On his Tallahassee Wildcats team, he plays the power forward spot but he said he’d like to venture a little further from the basket.
“I always tell my coach that I can play outside,” Reid said. “I know most guys that I play against pretty well. And I know I have an advantage over them out on the wing. It’s good to have both skills - inside and outside.”
Reid will be in action next weekend for a loaded Florida tournament featuring his Tallahassee Wildcats team along with the Miami Tropics, Team Florida, Team Breakdownmagazine.com and others.
