Reed Inks NLI With Georgetown

Rayshawn Reed, an athletic 6-0, 155 pound combo guard from Inglewood H.S. in Inglewood, Calif., signed a letter of intent with Georgetown. "Rayshawn has committed to Georgetown," Coach Pat Roy said. "He gave the commitment on Monday and selected the Hoyas over Colorado, Washington State, Georgia Tech, Fresno State and Oregon State."
During the early part of Reed's recruiting process, Rayshawn had taken official visits to George Washington from Oct. 18-20, Oregon State (Nov. 3-4) and Fresno State (Nov. 8-10). He also was seriously considering Long Beach State.

Reed previously told RivalsHoops.com that he took the ACT back on Sept. 28 and scored a 20. Previously, Reed told Rivalshoops.com that he holds a 3.0 GPA in the classroom.
RivalsHoops.com watched Reed play several times over the past year. He is a very quick guard who has the ability to dart past defenders. He also can go above the rim with his athletic skills.
"Rayshawn has already sent his paperwork in, so he is signed, sealed and delivered," Roy said. "He'll spend the summer at Georgetown and will start preparing himself for the season."
