Reed has it down to eight

He's excited to be a part of the NBPA Top 100 Camp, but Davon Reed is doing his best to take the event in stride, play his game and not get caught up in one-on-one play.
So far through three sessions, the 6-foot-5 shooting guard from Princeton (N.J.) Day School has been able to stick to his plan of attack

"I'm not a selfish player who is going to jack a bunch of shots," Reed told Rivals.com "I'm just going to be a team player and do what I can to contribute."
While he's been a team player at camp, Reed has been looking at the teams recruiting him much closer of late. In fact, he's cut his list down to eight schools.
Wake Forest, Cincinnati, Memphis, Xavier, Louisville, Connecticut, Miami and Harvard made the cut.
"I think I was ready to cut things down," said Reed. "We're in the contact period where coaches can call and text as much as they want and I wanted to narrow it down a little to calm it down."
Reed had hoped to take some June visits but it doesn't look like his schedule will allow it. So, he'll settle on five places to visit in the fall and go from there.
"I'm trying to make some visits this fall to get a feel for the schools and how it matches what they've told me," Reed said. "I won't decide all on visits, but it will be a big part."
