Reed Chops List Down To 4

Rayshawn Reed, an athletic 6-0, 155 pound shooting/combo guard from Inglewood H.S. in Inglewood, Calif., has chopped his list down to four colleges this fall.
Reed told Rivalshoops.com that he took his first official visit to George Washington from Oct. 18-20. He has also set up trips to Oregon State (Nov. 3-4) and Fresno State (Nov. 8-10).

The fourth school on his list is Long Beach State. While Reed doesn't plan on taking an official visit to nearby Long Beach, he said an unofficial trip to the Big West Conference program was not out of the question.
"So far, I've only visited one school, so I haven't had a chance to compare any schools to George Washington," Reed said. "I did like everything about my trip to GW -- the city, the people, the coaches and the school."
Reed said he had a chance to meet several people in the administration at George Washington. He said that he felt that everyone there was willing to help him both on and off the court.
"I want to make sure that I graduate and have a chance to play my freshman year," he said.
Reed took the ACT back on Sept. 28 and scored a 20, which should help him sail through the NCAA Clearinghouse this fall. Previously, Reed told Rivalshoops.com that he holds a 3.0 GPA in the classroom.
A very explosive guard who can elevate with the best of them, Reed is more of a hybrid guard than a point guard, even though his size suggests that he will likely be a one at the Division I level.
Rivalshoops.com will stay on top of Reed's recruitment this fall, and should he reach an early decision, we will let you know.
