Recruitment launching for Space

The opportunity has been there for DeSoto (Texas) High forward Antwan Space to complain about being a bit under rated on the national level. Well known in Texas, the near 6-foot-8 forward has remained relatively unknown on the national level until recently. During this week's Adidas Invitational, Space proved that he belongs among the top players in the class of 2011.
"I've never worried about attention," Space told Rivals.com. "I knew once people got to see me they would feel what I can do."

Capable of playing as a face-up four man if needed, Space is a swingman with outstanding size and a good jump shot. In particular, he's dangerous backing up on the low block or in the high post before spinning to either shoulder for turnaround jumpers that find the bottom of the net more often than not.
"I think people see that I can shoot the ball," said Space. "Most schools say I will play the wing. I like that, I could see myself as a combo three or two man."
Headed into July, Space says that there have already been some schools paying attention and giving offers.
"I'm hearing from Gonzaga and I have offers from Florida International, Colorado and Houston," said Space. "Missouri and Texas A&M, I've heard from them too."
Many more are expected to throw their hats into the ring and Space is open to listening to them all. He says that he's not near making a decision and wants to have as many options as possible.
"I could sign early, I don't know," said Space. "I need to see who is out there and set up visits first."
