Ramel Bradley Has Four On List

It's a long way from his home in New York City for a combination guard to polish his basketball skills in Florida. But Ramel Bradley, a 6-2, 185-pound combination guard, is getting very familiar with the territory down South and becoming very comfortable. "It's nice weather," Bradley said of the Florida sun. "But I miss New York. New York you get all kinds of weather."
Forget the weather. Bradley does his best work inside a hot gym. He did so this past weekend at the Bob Gibbons Tournament of Champions event held in North Carolina. "I was here last year so I know the gym," Bradley said of the spacious Dean Dome in Chapel Hill on the campus of North Carolina.

Bradley, who can score points in bunches, played last season at IMG in Florida. "I think I will be there again next year," said Bradley, a 2004 class member. "Right now those are the plans."
As far as Bradley's college plans, Ramel stated that he is open but has a short list of schools right now. "Seton Hall, Miami, Memphis and Syracuse are my favorites," Bradley said. "I am still open. I don't have a leader right now."
But Bradley has taken a visit recently. "I took a trip to Seton Hall," he said. "It was a great trip. I like the coaches there and had a great time talking to the players."
Bradley told RivalsHoops.com that he plans on attending the ABCD camp in Teaneck, New Jersey in early July. "I am going to the Rumble (in the Bronx) next month," Bradley said. "I am also going to Vegas after the ABCD camp."
Ramel Bradley (right) is very elusive on the court. Off the court, he can also be very hard to follow. Bradley, who last year attended high school in New York City, first started out his season with Mount Zion Christian Academy. Bradley returned to New York but has since attended school back in the south. He now is attending IMG Academy in Florida. Will this be his last stop? Only Bradley knows for sure.
The 6-2, 185-pound combination guard from Brooklyn, was reclassfied before this season as a junior. Bradley spent his first three years of high school at Park West High School in Manhattan. Bradley had a terrific summer with the Brooklyn-based Juice Crew, making stops at The ABCD Camp, Three Stripes Tourney, and Las Vegas Big Time Tourney, among others.
Last fall, several high majors showed early interest in Bradley's skills -- Charlotte, Memphis, Illinois, and Miami. All of the schools offered. Miami is strong in this process because of Karron Clarke, a friend of Ramel's. Clark has already committed to The Big East school. It's likely that Bradley will explore other schools too. Seton Hall has recently expressed interest in Bradley. If Bradley has a great summer, more offers are likely to land on his table.
Bradley is a slippery combo with good handles who excels at getting to the rack. One of the bigger concerns regarding Bradley's game has been the physical aspect and packing some muscle onto his wiry frame.
