Quincy Douby Ready For Big Summer

Quincy Douby, a sharpshooter who stands about 6-3, is expected to sharpen his skills with the Brookyn USA team this summer. "Quincy is a great shooter," Long Island Panthers head coach Gary Charles said. "He has great range on his jumper."
Charles should know. Douby had played with Charles' team at the tournament of champions in North Carolina three weeks ago. Before he played for Charles in North Carolina, Quincy lit up the Playaz team from New Jersey at the Brooklyn USA tournament.

Douby had an outstanding game against the Playaz Club. Douby scored 21 points to lead his team to victory.
Douby showed a sweet touch and excellent range on his jumper. Douby is much tougher than his thin frame indicates. Douby is a player to keep an eye on this spring and summer.
His level of recruiting has picked up recently. "My top schools are Villanova, Massachusetts, and South Florida," Douby said. "But I am open to any school right now. I have not closed off my list."
Mid-level schools like Hartford have made a serious run at Doulby earlier in the year. It appears the Hartford staff knew what they were doing when they started to recruit Douby so early in the process.
Douby played for the City Champion Grady High School team. Douby averaged 17 points a game last year as a junior. "I have not taken any unofficial visits," Douby said. "I hope to line some up this summer."
