Everyone has an opinion on the top prospects in the country. The experts spend hours and hours scouting prospects and publishing rankings. The public criticizes the rankings, debates them and, sometimes, even agrees on the ordering of these players.

But perhaps the best perspective on the best of the best comes from the inside. Who would know the top players better than the top players themselves?
This question spurred the idea of a new series from Rivals.com tabbed The Fab Five. Each week, Rivals.com will spotlight a top prospect's opinion on the top five prospects in the country.
Leading off the series is scoring machine and N.C. State signee Rodney Purvis, who ranks No. 6 in the 2012 Rivals150.
The Rodney Purvis Fab Five
1. Nerlens Noel. Purvis' take: Nerlens is simply a dominant player on the defensive side of the ball. Offensively, he is getting better and better.
2. Shabazz Muhammad. Purvis' take: Shabazz is a really good scorer and has a high motor. I'm impressed with how hard he plays. He is a strong athlete and aggressive player.
3. Kyle Anderson. Purvis' take: Kyle is a very unique player. He is good on both sides of the ball and has a great basketball IQ. He also is very versatile and can play several positions.
4. Anthony Bennett. Purvis' take: Anthony has a great inside/outside game and is so aggressive. He shoots the three-ball well and has nice size.
5. Ricardo Ledo. Purvis' take: Ricky is a scoring machine. He has deep, deep range and has that special scorer's mentality.
