Pruitt Wont Have Press Conference

Shaun Pruitt, a strong 6-foot-8, 220-pound power forward from West Aurora High School in Aurora, Ill., will put off having a press conference to announce his college decision. "Originally I was going to have a press conference at school," he said. "Now I am going to have the announcement more low key."

Pruitt said he has a couple of days in mind on when he will make the announcement between Illinois and Michigan State. "It looks like I could announce it Friday or Saturday," he said. "I have spoken to each school enough and have seen each school to know what they have to offer."

As a junior at Aurora West, Pruitt averaged 14.8 points, seven rebounds and three blocks per contest. He missed several games due to a broken ankle. Pruitt has a strong frame and is athletic for his size. A lefty, Pruitt scores most of his points due to his strength. Pruitt said he has a 2.6 GPA and has scored a 21 on the ACT.

"I spoke to Michigan State tonight and the conversation went well," Pruitt said. "They wanted to know how my trip to Illinois went. It's going to be a tough decision. If I had to make it today, I couldn't. But I expect to have one later this week, maybe Friday or Saturday."
