Pruitt Hearing From AZ, MSU, Others

Shaun Pruitt, a 6-foot-9, 220-pound power forward from West Aurora High School in Aurora, Illinois suffered a broken ankle during his junior campaign. While the injury prevented Pruitt from making any strides on the court, his recruitment did not suffer.
Quite a few high major schools visited Pruitt during the April long contact period.

Pruitt has already taken several unofficial visits and is now hoping to start making some of those visits official.
“I really want to take official visits to Arizona, Auburn and Michigan State,” Pruitt said. “I’ve visited Marquette, Indiana and Wisconsin unofficially, but those schools are close, so I don’t want to take any official visits to schools that are within driving distance.”
Pruitt suffered a broken ankle during his junior year, so he will take this summer to improve all areas of his game.
“I had a few minor setbacks with my ankle injury, but I ended up averaging 15 points and seven rebounds a game,” he said. “I have the ability to score from down low or I can take my game outside. I’ve got a good handle for my size, but I must get better on the defensive side of the ball.”
Pruitt will spend the summer traveling with his Illinois Wolves AAU team. He will participate in the Bob Gibbons Tournament of Champions event and will be in Las Vegas later in the summer.
