Price talks about visit, leaders

Jeremy Price, the 6-foot-9, 260-pound center/power forward from Columbia High School in Decatur, Ga., took an unofficial visit to the University of Kansas on Sunday afternoon. After participating in the Nike Hoops Jamboree last week, Price made the trip to Lawrence before heading home. The three star prospect indicated that five teams have emerged as the teams to beat in his recruitment.
"The visit to Kansas went very good," said Price. "We just took a tour of the campus and looked around. Everything was very nice. We also talked to some of the players, and I spoke with Coach Self for a little while. Coach and I talked about the campus and the school.

"Coach Self said that if I decided to attend Kansas, he would play me at the small forward, power forward and center positions," he added. "The coaching staff feels that I have the athletic ability and talent to play those three positions at Kansas."
Aside from Kansas, Price is receiving interest from Alabama, Auburn, Duquesne, Georgia, Georgia Tech, Illinois, Indiana, Virginia Tech and Furman.
With the July evaluation period approaching, the number of schools involved in his recruitment will likely increase throughout the summer. However, Price indicated that five schools have emerged as the teams to beat in his recruitment.
"Kansas, Indiana, Georgia, Georgia Tech and Virginia Tech are the schools that I really like," said Price. "Those five schools are at the top of my list. I have been to Indiana's elite camp and I will attend Georgia's elite camp later on in the month. I have also taken an unofficial visit to Georgia.
"I definitely plan to take all five official visits before I make any decisions about a school," he added. "I believe that taking all five visits will allow me to make the best possible decision about a school."
