Price Puts Visit To Illinois On Hold

Eric Price, the 6-foot-2, 175-pound combo guard from Blair Academy in New Jersey was supposed to take an official visit to Illinois in January, but decided to put the visit on hold. After talking with Blair Academy Head Coach Joe Mantegna, Price thought it would be best to put his recruitment on hold until his junior season is complete.
“I thought it would be best to wait until our season is finished before I started taking some official visits,” Price said. “I had planned to visit Illinois in January, but I sat down with Coach Mantegna and we both agreed it would be best to start taking some official visits after the season is over. I am just going to wait it out and see what happens at the end of the year.

“So many new schools have starting recruiting me, so that’s another reason why I have decided to wait,” he added. “Florida has been showing a lot of interest lately and Michigan State recently contacted me. Those two schools are showing the most interest in me right now.”
If Price intends to start scheduling some official visits once his season is officially complete, he wont have to wait much longer. Blair Academy plays at Lawrenceville on Wednesday in one of the state semifinal games. Should they happen to defeat Lawrenceville, the state championship game will be play on Saturday.
“Lawrenceville beat us last Wednesday, so we’re definitely looking forward to playing them again on their home court,” Price said. “If we happen to win that game, we play on Saturday for the state championship. Its definitely going to be a challenge for us because we would have to win both games on the road.”
Price is averaging 10 points and 10 assists per game this year.
