Price is right for SEC school

The state of Georgia is loaded with high-major talent in the class of 2007. Schools are invading the Peach State for impact guys but they'll have to take Jeremy Price off the list. The 6-foot-9, 260-pound power forward from Columbia High School in Decatur, Ga., verbally committed to a southern school on Sunday night.
After taking an unofficial visit to Georgia over the weekend, Price pledged his services to Dennis Felton and the Bulldogs.

"I just felt real comfortable there," Price told Rivals.com. "The always showed their support and gave me good feedback on my game. Really, it was their support that stood out the most."
Price, the No. 58 ranked player in the class of 2007, picked the Bulldogs over interest from Alabama, Virginia Tech, Kansas and Indiana. He's a huge in-state get for UGA, especially with the abundance of talent within their own borders.
"I didn't really want to go too far away from home. A lot of places where hard to get to but going to UGA, I can come home without any problems," Price said.
The Bulldogs landed a big man with a good footwork, soft hands and a power game that rattles rims when he plays above the rim.
"I think I can have a big role with the team when I get there," Price said. "I want to be a player that is important to what they want to do and I feel like I can be that player."
