Prep or college for Grigsby

Three-star prospect Jinski Grigsby has some in-state offers on the table, but the 6-foot-7, 210-pound small forward from Nacogdoches (Texas) High School is deciding whether to sign in the spring or go to prep school for another year of preparation for college.
"Jinski has offers from SMU, Houston, and Texas State,” said Grigsby’s AAU coach Mitch Malone of Texas Blue Chips. “Texas A&M has been to see him play and will be back next week. Seton Hall and North Carolina State are coming in to watch Jinski play.

“He has to decide whether he's going to prep or sign late. I think to play immediately he needs another year of high school ball."
Grigsby, who is averaging 15 points per game this season for 8-3 Nacogdoches, is somewhat of a tweener between the two forward positions. He is a high effort player who can shoot the ball out to 18-feet. He is still a little raw, and his skills need further refinement to go along with his determined play.
"Jinski needs to work on his strength and gain more experience,” said Malone. “He missed his sophomore year, so he could use another year of maturity.
"Jinski is getting better and will always give you 100 percent. I think his best ball is still ahead of him."
Jinski carries a 2.5 GPA and a score 18 on the ACT, which he will take again.
