Nearly half of the 2017 Rivals150 have made their college choices. Today we begin a series of looks at the highest ranked players left on the board, their recruitment and where our team of National Analyst Eric Bossi, Krysten Peek, Dan McDonald and Russ Wood could see them playing in college.

The skinny: The nation’s top point guard just settled into Bradenton (Fla.) IMG and his recruitment is pretty mysterious at this point. He’s not yet set any visits and there hasn’t been much talk of a behind-the-scenes leader from his final nine of Arizona, California, Kansas, Maryland, Oregon, Seton Hall. St. John’s, USC and Villanova.
The skinny: So far, Bamba has taken an official visit to Michigan and he’s also seen Harvard, Syracuse and Kentucky unofficially since the beginning of the summer. Much of his decision could depend on whether he decides to sign early or late.
The skinny: The skilled big man takes his first official visit this weekend to Harvard. However, Duke has been considered the heavy favorite for quite some time.
The skinny: The breakout player of the summer of 2016, Sexton is an explosive combo guard. He just finished an official visit to the presumed leader Alabama and he’s also seen NC State officially. He sees Oklahoma State this weekend, Kansas at the end of the month and has been on campus at Georgia Tech multiple times since Josh Pastner was hired.
The skinny: Pushing 6-foot-10, Preston is as physically gifted as any forward in the class of 2017. Preston just released a top five of Indiana, Kansas, Maryland, NC State and USC but hasn’t yet set any official visits.
The skinny: A big and versatile wing from Florida, both of Knox’s parents were college athletes at Florida State. He’s down to the Seminoles, Duke, Kansas, Kentucky and North Carolina and is expected to set his visits in the near future.
The skinny: A high flyer from New York City who is prepping in Connecticut, Diallo may be the least locked in on his recruitment of any high profile player. At this point, it’s anybody’s guess with him as several big timers chase.
The skinny: A native of Chicago who moved to California shortly before high school started, McCoy is another who could wait until the spring to decide. He’s not set any visits and has many like Arizona, California, Kansas, Michigan State, San Diego State, UCLA and USC in the mix for his services.
The skinny: Capable of playing all three perimeter positions, Brown has tremendous size, athleticism and versatility. He’s seen Ohio State and Alabama officially with trips still scheduled to Oregon, Kansas and Georgetown. Brown has already visited his other three finalists -- Arizona, California and UNLV -- unofficially.
The skinny: A well built shooting guard, Trent moved from Minnesota to California for his senior season. He’s expected to visit UCLA, Arizona, Duke and Michigan State officially.
