Prather gains second SEC offer

Athletic 2010 wing prospect Casey Prather has the eye of a number of coaches across the country. This past weekend Prather, 6-foot-5, 189-pounds from Jackson (Tenn.) North Side High School, picked up his second SEC offer.
Already with offers from Southern Illinois and Ole Miss, Prather now holds an offer from Vanderbilt.

"I spent some time on campus with Coach Muller and Coach Rice after my practice with the Nashville Celtics on Saturday," said Prather. "We toured the campus and at the end of the visit they offered me."
Although quite pleased to have the new offer, Prather maintains an even list with no favorites.
"I'm very excited about the offer, but right now I'm wide open," he said. "I do like Vanderbilt's program and the academic situation there, though."
A long list of other schools are also showing strong interest in Prather. Georgia Tech, Virginia Tech, Virginia, Tennessee, Valparaiso, Wake Forest, USC, Texas and Florida are all tracking Prather closely.
This summer Prather has plans to attend elite camps at Texas and Florida.
In evaluating the schools on his list, Prather is concentrating on two areas.
"I want to play in a fast system," he said. "The coaching staff is also important. I want to play for a staff that can help me get to the next level."
