Powers set to sign
Point guard Willie Powers of P.K. Yonge DRS High School in Gainesville, Fla., will take a short trek north to play his college basketball.
"Willie loved his weekend visit to Georgia Southern and called Coach Price Sunday," said P.K. Yonge DRS assistant coach Carlos Villalobos. "He loved the opportunity of playing close to home and the chance of playing as a freshman."

Powers, 6-foot-2, 175-pounds, averaged 18 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists per game as a junior.
He also had offers from High Point Floridia A&M and Western Carolina.
