Powerful big man picks UVA

THE RIVALS150: Class of 2014 | 2015 | 2016
At Virginia, Tony Bennett and his staff set out on the recruiting trail looking for a physical post presence. They got him on Saturday when power forward Jarred Reuter ended his recruitment.

One of the more rugged players in the class of 2015, Reuter is a 6-foot-8, 240-pounder from powerhouse prep program Wolfeboro (N.H.) Brewster Academy. He was in Charlottesville on Thursday and Friday and fell in love with the Cavaliers program.
"The visit created a great comfort level for me and I could see myself fitting in," Reuter told Rivals.com. "Being face to face with the coaches I really like Coach Bennett and Coach Williford and all of the coaches and players."
Reuter says that he enjoys doing the dirty work, loves to rebound and he likes that there will be a need for a player with his style.
"They are going to loss some of their big guys my sophomore year," said Reuter. "We looked through film and they think I would be a good addition because I do score with my back to the basket and I am an able passer."
During the summer, the three-star post player had a great run at the Reebok Breakout Classic and with his club team the New England Playaz. Reuter is in the mix to make the next Rivals150 but he's not worrying about that. He is just happy to have his decision out of the way.
"It feels awesome," said Reuter. "I definitely know I made the right decision. I'm happy that it is Virginia and that I got the process over with. I'm looking forward to focusing on getting ready to play in college."
